Torredembarra celebrates its big little festival every July 15th called "Santa Rosalia's painting festival". Legend tells that this picture saved the population from the plague in 1640. In a sign of gratitude, people walks in procession along the streets of the village.

The activities of the "Santa Rosalia's painting festival" usually starts on the 12th of july and most of them occurs by the streets of the old town. The party ends on the 16th of july with the Maritime Procession of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of fishermen and held in the Maritime Quarter.

During the "Santa Rosalia's painting festival"  takes place all kind of traditional activities: parades, concerts,"human towers", "sardanas" and fireworks.
