Special streets

The area around the castle square, made up of the streets named Ample, Baix de San Pere, Eduard Benot and Carnisseria, is worthy of special attention, as here you will find some interesting buildings, mainly dating from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Although it is not on our route, we should mention the street of Antoni Roig, an example of the urban expansion that took place in the town during the 17th century thanks to the increase in trade and the money from the Indians (emigrants returning from the Americas). In this street you will see Baroque-style buildings from the 18th century and other Modernist buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries.
